ABSTRACT
ZnO was synthesised by the sol–gel method using zinc nitrate as precursor. doped with Al. Stress in lattice evident from XRD peak shifts. A higher concentration of Al+3 showed a reverse strain effect also causing optical properties. An increase crystallite size due to increased observed. variation absorption intensity based on defect energy levels difference emission and spectra resulting defects material non-radiative decay seen. change band gap observed changes different dopant concentrations. These findings are useful for photocatalytic well antibacterial anticancer treatments.
