Gendered power dynamics and HIV risk in drug-using sexual relationships

ABSTRACT
This study illustrates how a sample (n = 63) of Scottish drug-using women's patterns injecting and needle sharing were strongly influenced by the nature type their sexual relationships. Our data shows that 12 out 13 couples needles 33 41 women who had ever been in relationship with male injector predominately injected partner whilst relationship.
