ABSTRACT
Air pollution control is a worldwide problem of common concern to all mankind. Electrostatic precipitator (ESP) plays an important role in the purification flue gas and dust. At present, multi-electrode ESP, middle discharge electrode often inhibited by outer electrode, commonly known as electrostatic shielding, which seriously affects electric field distribution dust removal effect ESP. In order explore this characteristic, research established mathematical model ESP simulated shielding phenomenon wire-plate quantified influence various factors on degree analyzed potential impact particle charging efficiency. The results study show that wire-to-plate distance has greatest followed radius, voltage, wire-to-wire distance. When increases, efficiency decreases. addition, increasing number electrodes increase only feasible within certain range. exceeds threshold, decreases due shielding. provide guidance for determination geometric parameters can make theoretical predictions occurrence thereby effectively avoiding shielding.Implications: It expected through research, some will be provided
