ABSTRACT
Sufficient study has not been performed to clarify the role of trunk/respiratory muscles strength/endurance in providing postural control dancers. The purpose this was identify predictors affecting static/dynamic Latin dancers and compare these measurements with non-dancers. included 38 (26F; 12 M) 33 (21F; 11 Static/dynamic control, trunk muscle endurance, respiratory strength/pulmonary functions, flexibility, reaction tests were assessed a force platform system, McGill battery, spirometer, sit-and-reach test Nelson-reaction-tests, respectively. Trunk endurance times, strength, FEV1/FVC, gender, hours training per week dancing experience significant (p < 0.05). All results, maximal inspiratory pressure higher compared non-dancers limits stability for forward backward directions higher, anteroposterior sway normal eyes open lower experience, positively associated control. These should be taken into consideration improve
