ABSTRACT
A colonoscopy is a procedure commonly used for the diagnosis of colorectal diseases but may be associated with high levels anxiety and discomfort, which can lead to complications during sedation decreased patient comfort cooperation. This study was conducted at tertiary care hospital in Karachi assess effectiveness music therapy on pre-procedural anxiety, requirements, pain, duration among patients undergoing colonoscopies. comparative included 110 outpatients. The intervention arm received non-lyrical soft through earphones before procedure, while control group did not receive any music.
