ABSTRACT
Farm-level adaptation is an effective strategy to cope with global climate change. Farmers can effectively manage the negative effects of change adaptive decisions. Cognitive, non-cognitive and emotional factors influence decisions against However, little research addresses extent which a set integrated farmer's intention adapt. To address this gap, study aims determine, first, relationship between cognitive factors, including awareness, attitude, subjective norm perceived behaviour control; habits moral norms; as well anticipated pride guilt surrounding intention. Second, it evaluates structural model using SmartPLS, software commonly used in partial least squares equation modelling (PLS-SEM), wherein all these are examined simultaneously. A survey was conducted fulfil objectives, involving 250 farmers from Susangerd city Khuzestan province southwestern Iran. Results reveal that positive emotions (pride), constructs, (perceived control awareness), (behavioural norms) affect Findings provide guidance policymakers, agricultural experts who considering different designing implementing policies innovations related adaptation.
