ABSTRACT
Social stigma toward individuals with COVID-19 is a public phenomenon that significantly impacts the prevention of this disease. The study aimed to develop and examine scale social against people COVID-19.A cross-sectional was conducted from June August 2021 using random sampling. Two hundred twenty-five were involved in study. All are domiciled Bandung Regency, West Java, Indonesia have never been infected COVID-19. designed based on dimensional structure then evaluated scale's psychometric properties.The found instruments 12 items had content validity index 1.0. Cronbach's alpha coefficient 0.875 showed as satisfactory. Exploratory factor analysis performed first sample (n = 100), four factors extracted exploratory analysis: ignorance/labelling, stereotype, separation, discrimination. Following this, confirmatory remaining 120) good fit between four-factor model theoretical stigma.The has determined be valid reliable. Health practitioners can use predict better transmission strategies improved quality care.
