ABSTRACT
Cuphea hookeriana Walp. is an ornamental plant belonging to the Lythraceae. In this study, we reported complete chloroplast (cp) genome sequence here and analyzed phylogenetic relationship among Lythraceae plants. The length of cp was 158,999 bp, including a large single-copy (LSC, 89,311 bp) region small (SSC, 18,436 separated by pair inverted repeats (IRs, 25,626 bp). There were 72 unique protein-coding genes (PCGs), 30 transfer RNA (tRNA) genes, four ribosomal (rRNA) in C. hookeriana. A total 223 simple (SSRs) 34 long repeat sequences identified. Phylogenetic analyses using maximum-likelihood (ML) revealed that close hyssopifolia. addition, two species sister group Woodfordia fruticosa.
