ABSTRACT
Abstract The corrosion resistance of ceramic coatings developed by plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO) can be improved embedding particles. Optimizing the concentration particles in electrolyte is essential to obtain best coating performance. This work aims optimize Y 2 O 3 embedded PEO on Zr-4 alloy resistance. Nanoparticles was suspended at a 2, and 4 g l −1 . were successfully composed ZrO –SiO electrochemical test an aqueous solution 600 °C revealed consistent result that obtained formed -containing electrolyte. At corresponding optimum concentration, contained high SiO tetragonal ( t ) phase, which potentially stable solid stability enhanced during both temperature exposure.
