ABSTRACT
Abstract Motivation: It is popular to explore meaningful molecular targets and infer new functions of genes through gene functional similarity measuring network construction. However, little work available in this field for microRNA (miRNA) due limited miRNA annotations. With the rapid accumulation miRNAs, it increasingly needed uncover their relationships a systems level. Results: known that with similar are often associated diseases, relationship different diseases can be represented by structure directed acyclic graph (DAG). This also true genes. Therefore, feasible disease DAG. Based on above observations rapidly accumulated human miRNA-disease association data, we presented method pairwise miRNAs based structures relationships. Comparisons showed calculated well prior knowledge relationship. More importantly, used predict novel biomarkers potential or miRNAs. In addition, easily extended other species when sufficient miRNA-associated data specific species.
