ABSTRACT
Hybrid atrial fibrillation (AF) ablation is a promising approach in non-paroxysmal AF. The aim of this study to assess the long-term outcomes hybrid large cohort patients after both an initial and as redo procedure. All consecutive undergoing AF at UZ Brussel from 2010 2020 were retrospectively evaluated. was performed one-step procedure: (i) thoracoscopic followed by (ii) endocardial mapping eventual ablation. All received PVI posterior wall isolation. Additional lesions based on clinical indication physician judgement. Primary endpoint freedom tachyarrhythmias (ATas). A total 120 included, 85 (70.8%) underwent first procedure (non-paroxysmal 100%), 20 (16.7%) second 30%), 15 (12.5%) third 33.3%). After mean follow-up 62.3 months ± 20.3, 63 (52.5%) experienced ATas recurrence. Complications occurred 12.5% patients. There no difference between vs. (P = 0.53). Left volume index recurrence during blanking period independent predictors recurrence. In ablation, survival 47.5% ≈5 years follow-up. or redo.
