ABSTRACT
I reexamine the use of isolation by distance models as a basis for estimation demographic parameters from measures population subdivision. To that aim, first provide results values F-statistics in one-dimensional and coalescence times two-dimensional models, make more precise earlier models. Based on these results, propose method data analysis involving regression FST/(1-FST) estimates pairs subpopulations geographic populations along linear habitats or logarithm habitats. This provides principle an estimate product density second moment parental axial distance. In two cases where comparison to direct is possible, proposed here satisfactory than previous indirect methods.
