ABSTRACT
The objective of this study was to evaluate sex effects on the daily net requirements calcium (NCam), phosphorus (NPm), magnesium (NMgm), and potassium (NKm) for maintenance in Saanen goats 5 45 kg BW. For purpose, two datasets were used: first dataset composed 154 individual records (53 castrated males, 46 females, 55 intact males) from three comparative slaughter studies, used test NCam, NPm, NMgm, NKm goats, using technique (CST). second assembled 155 (67 40 48 four feeding trials, minimum endogenous losses method (MEL). meta-analyses performed a mixed model, which considered fixed effect random effect. Sex did not affect BW, when mineral estimated CST (P > 0.10). 21.1, 22.8, 4.0 mg/kg respectively. In contrast, affected NMgm = 0.077). male female 1.4 while 2.6 or MEL 38.0, 7.4, 25.2 macromineral reported herein may be relevant development systems optimizing nutrition management growing goats.
