ABSTRACT
Abstract Plant crown can affect the seed dispersal process. Clarifying influence of plant type on kernel is important for predicting species distribution. However, impact different types has rarely been tested. To determine effect kernel, we conducted wind tunnel experiments in which investigated average distance, range, kurtosis and skewness 29 with diaspore traits (type appendage, mass, projected area, shape index, wing loading terminal velocity) under 3 speeds (2, 4 6 m•s-1) passing through (classified based size, branch density or without leaves). We fit functions to distance found that Gaussian function had best fit. significant effects skewness, but not seeds it low speed condition. Width affected kurtosis, leaves influenced skewness. Increase reduced planting no shape, so, range plants invariant while varies greatly. The information could be helpful understanding metapopulation dynamics.
