ABSTRACT
Investigated the contribution of disability parameters and chronic disability-related strain to adaptation 50 congenitally physically handicapped 6- 11-year-old children their mothers. Multiple dimensions adaptation, status, were assessed with a variety procedures. The mothers reported themselves display significantly worse than expected for general sample. these mothers, however, was not related children's status nor thereto related. An exception that social functioning could be explained by both factors. inability explain most in as it relates conceptual model guiding this research is discussed.
