Oligometastatic colorectal adenocarcinoma to the spleen and ovaries

ABSTRACT
In the context of colorectal cancer, splenic and ovarian metastases are rare outside widely disseminated disease. Growing evidence suggests that 'oligometastatic' or limited metastatic disease can be treated surgically with good oncological outcomes. Splenic not well represented in studies oligometastatic resulting uncertainty best management for these patients. We present case a 78-year-old woman diagnosed cancer to bilateral ovaries spleen, 5 years after resection primary colon cancer. The patient was salpingo-oopherectomy subsequent open splenectomy. discuss role surgery peri-operative chemotherapy involving atypical sites.
