ABSTRACT
Abstract Peri-implant lesion is a grave condition afflicting numerous indi-viduals with dental implants. It results from persistent periodontal bacteria accumulation causing inflammation around the implant site, which can primarily lead to loosening and ultimately loss. Early-stage peri-implant lesions exhibit symptoms akin gum disease, including swelling, redness bleeding of gums surrounding implant. These signs indicate infection tissues, may result in bone loss failure. To address this problem, thermionic strategy was applied by designing cuprorivaite–hardystonite bioceramic/alginate composite hydrogel photothermal Cu/Zn/Si multiple ions releasing property. This innovative approach creates effect release bioactive (Cu2+ Zn2+ SiO32−) mild heat environment though induced near-infrared light irradiation. The most distinctive advantage substantially eliminate pathogenic inhibit inflammation, while simultaneously enhance osseointegration. unique attribute renders use highly effective significantly improving survival rate implants after intervention lesions, clinical challenge periodontics. study reveals application potential new biomaterial-based for lesion, as it not only eliminates but also enhances osteointegration implant, provides theoretical insights practical guidance prevent manage early-stage using functional materials.
