ABSTRACT
Acrylamide is a well-known neurotoxicant and carcinogen. Apart from industrial exposure, acrylamide also found in different food products. The present study deals with vivo experiment to test the protective effect of rutin against induced toxicity rats. was carried out on female rats exposure at dose 38.27 mg/kg body weight, orally for 10 days followed by therapy (05, 10, 20 40 orally), three consecutive days. All animals were sacrificed after 24 h last treatment various biochemical parameters blood tissue investigated. Histopathology liver, kidney brain done. On administration days, neurotoxicity observed terms decreased acetylcholinesterase activity oxidative stress increased lipid peroxidation, declined level reduced glutathione, antioxidant enzymes (superoxide dismutase catalase) brain. activities serum transaminases, profile, bilirubin, urea, uric acid creatinine indicating damage. Our experimental results conclude that showed remarkable protection DNA damage acrylamide, which may be due its potential.
