ABSTRACT
Variability of the Russian population Puccinia triticina from durum wheat was studied with virulence and simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers. The pathogen sampled during 2017 to 2019 in all regions sizable (Triticum durum) growing areas winter (North Caucasus) spring (Middle Volga, Ural, West Siberia) wheat. A total 474 isolates were tested on a set 20 Lr-gene lines. Molecular genotypes for 105 selected determined at 11 SSR loci. Variable virulence/avirulence reaction observed only three lines, whereas just five loci polymorphic two alleles each. Seven different phenotypes found among isolates, respectively, indicating very low variability pathogen. One phenotype occurred regions. However, specific European Russia Caucasus Middle Volga), while another Asian part (Ural Siberia). Significant differentiation between six populations P. (mainly North also shown numerous metrics approaches data without clone correction. Relationships regional established significantly associated those similar relationships common
