ABSTRACT
Tianjingyeshengdao' (TY) is a rice cultivar with durable resistance to populations of Magnaporthe oryzae (the causal agent blast) in China. To understand the genetic basis its blast, we developed population recombinant inbred lines from cross between TY and highly susceptible 'CO39' for gene mapping analysis. In total, 22 quantitative trait loci (QTLs) controlling blast were identified on chromosomes 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 11, 12 evaluation four disease parameters both greenhouse nursery conditions. Among these QTLs, 19 contributed by three CO39. Two QTL clusters chromosome 6 named Pi2-1 Pi51(t), respectively. was detected under growth chamber natural conditions, explained 31.24 59.73% phenotypic variation. Pi51(t) only 3.67 10.37% Our results demonstrate that controlled two major seven minor genes. Identification markers linked this study should be useful marker-aided selection breeding programs as well molecular cloning
