ABSTRACT
Sertoli cells are sustentacular which support spermatogenesis for nutritional metabolism in seminiferous epithelium, however, entire picture has not been clarified yet. The localization and gene expression of enzymes mitochondrial fatty acid beta‐oxidation related were examined, order to characterize the nutrient epithelium. Seminiferous tubules cells, isolated from adult rat testes, subjected light electron microscopic immunohistochemistry DNA microarray. Immunohistochemistry epithelium revealed only but spermatogenic cells. microarray analysis showed that ketone body low relatively high These data suggested can do catabolism anabolism. produce bodies as metabolites give by supplying an energy source may be able beta‐oxidation.
