Abstract: Lifting and Supporting Method of Lower Eyelid Edge by a Bridge-like Thread Spacer

INTRODUCTION: Because of certain diseases the periorbital region, there are possible manifestations retraction lower eyelid edge, its distancing from eyeball, hypotension, lagophthalmus and ectropion. In these cases, such operations as canthopexy canthoplasty, transplantation cartilage or tendons, also edge lifting by plastic spacers, usually applied. Operations on lateral canthus with transplanted tendons not always predictable, existing cartilaginous constructions cumbersome, often contoured do give desired aesthetic results. And in respect this, we were tasked to develop a more delicate effective intervention method that could be. MATERIALS METHODS: 2015, developed created device (spacer) made prolene thread 2/0, bridge-like form, which is strengthened several nodular sutures costal upper periosteum arcus marginalis, below.
