ABSTRACT
Objectives: Aim to explores the characteristic of central blood pressure and arterial stiffness in essential hypertension with overweight or obesity Methods: Two hundreds subjects were selected from Lanzhou University Second Hospital during November 2014 2015. All patients divided into three groups by BMI (body mass index), normal group (N = 75, 18.5 ≤ < 24), 71, 24 28), 54, ≥ 28). Body height, weight, waist circumference, fast plasma glucose, lipid, peripheral brachial measured. Central parameters detected Sphygmocor Clinical Assessment. Then, compared difference among groups. Results: With increased BMI, SBP, DBP, cSBP, cDBP raised, only SBP PP between was statistically significant. For group, AIx AIx75HR lower than just significant, when adjusted age.The cf-PWV had mini those not any There positive correlation cDBP; negative AIx, no PWV. Conclusion: all but influence on preipheral more apparent, it due over estimate prepheral for coarser biceps circumference obeses people.
