ABSTRACT
Objective: Lifestyle modification is crucial in managing hypertension, independent of medical treatment. This study aimed to evaluate the implementation lifestyle modifications and analyze trends among patients with hypertension Korea from 2007 2021. Design method: Data National Health Nutrition Examination Survey conducted between 2021 was analyzed. The included aged >19 years. Factors such as regular physical activity, smoking alcohol abstinence, weight stress management, adherence a healthy diet were Results: In 2021, double-fold increase observed proportion who adhered sodium restriction compared 2007. However, 70% consume more than recommended. Moreover, potassium intake has steadily decreased since 2014, only 23.8% meeting recommended intake. (Figure) body mass index waist circumference have gradually increased, fewer maintaining an appropriate weight. neglect control young experience high levels poses challenges modifying their lifestyles. Conclusions: Patients still amounts sodium, whereas decreasing. Additionally, obesity rates been increasing, especially hypertension. Considering increasing number low rate, importance should be further emphasized.
