ABSTRACT
The aims of this study oncology outpatients with cancer pain were to perform an exploratory factor analysis (EFA) the 48-item Coping Strategy Questionnaire (CSQ) and a confirmatory 6-factor solution Questionnaire-Revised (CSQ-R) suggested by Riley Robinson in 1997. In addition, differences latent means CSQ-R subscale scores between inpatients evaluated.Data from (n=217) (n=225) used. Mplus program was used both EFA treating items as ordinal, using robust maximum likelihood estimation. Quartimin oblique rotation for EFA. Model fit evaluated chi test, comparative index, root mean square error approximation, standardized residual, well substantive evaluation solutions. The original CSQ did not reproduce structure defined Rosentiel Keefe. 27-item inpatient outpatient data strong factorial invariance, combined data, allowing some correlated errors among items. Differences found 2 samples ignoring, catastrophizing, praying means, catastrophizing means. The is recommended use clinical instrument. However, further research identify reasons errors.
