ABSTRACT
Radiographic evaluation of the anterolateral femoral head-neck junction is essential in diagnosing cam femoroacetabular impingement. We hypothesized frog-leg lateral radiograph can accurately assess offset abnormalities associated with reviewed radiographs 61 hips treated for impingement and 24 asymptomatic control hips. To characterize anatomy junction, head sphericity, alpha-angle Nötzli et al, were measured on all radiographs. Asphericity was detected more frequently radiographic views when compared The average greater views, greatest difference between seen view (65 degrees versus 47 hips). decreased views. groups (6.6 mm 9.3 provides accurate visualization patients being evaluated
