ABSTRACT
Computer navigation has the potential to permit accurate placement of components. We first hypothesized acetabular inclination and anteversion using would be within 5° postoperative computed tomography scans, then secondly, computer precision better than that surgeons. In phase, we obtained CT scans in 30 hips ascertain values for cup. second 99 patients with 101 hips, determined surgeon's by comparing surgeons' blind estimates trial cup position values. The was 4.4° a bias 0.03° 4.1° 0.73°. experienced 11.5° 12.3° anteversion, whereas less 13.1° 13.9° anteversion. data supported hypothesis as had 1° 5°. This imageless system allows more component placement. Level Evidence: II, therapeutic study. See Guidelines Authors complete description levels evidence.
