ABSTRACT
This is a prospective study of artificial disk replacement combined with cage fusion for the treatment multilevel cervical herniation.To evaluate clinical outcome Bryan adjacent segment in patients herniation. To observe neurological improvement and interpret radiographic findings.It generally considered that 1-level had an excellent intermediate outcome. There was no final conclusion about disease. The negative factors include possible complication, high cost, contraindication at one multisegments. Disk may be option disease certain patients.There were 26 herniation who underwent fusion. Of patients, there 17 male 9 female, aged between 35 63 (mean age 47 y). herniated located C3-C4, C4-C5 1 case, C4-C5, C5-C6 11cases, C5-C6, C6-C7 7 cases, 3 4 cases. 12 cases myelopathy 14 radiculopathy. stabilization range motion implanted disk, cage, displacement observed on dynamic radiograph postoperatively. symptoms functions evaluated based Japanese Orthopaedic Association Scale score (17 points), neck disability index score, Odom's Criteria.All segment. next to each other among 23 patients. They not follow-up 24 months.
