ABSTRACT
Prospective study.The purpose of this study is to elucidate mid-term outcomes anterior cervical fusion for spondylosis with sympathetic symptoms (CSSS).The terminology, pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment CSSS remain controversial. Surgical has been rarely reported. This the first prospective evaluate outcome surgical CSSS.Thirty-one patients who were diagnosed in 2006 evaluated prospectively. All assigned undergo posterior longitudinal ligament (PLL) resection followed up ≥5 years. Sympathetic such as vertigo, headache, tinnitus, etc. using symptom 20-point score. Neurological status was assessed Japanese Orthopedic Association (JOA) Clinical radiologic data prospectively collected before surgery, at 1 week, 2 months, 6 years, 5 years after surgery. complications morbidities other diseases during follow-up also recorded.The mean score decreased significantly from 7.3±3.5 surgery 2.2±2.7 final (P<0.001), giving a recovery rate 66.1%±50.3%.
