ABSTRACT
Open surgical repairs of Achilles tendon ruptures may result in local wound healing problems. Various minimally invasive and percutaneous approaches have been defined to overcome this problem they are being used with increasing frequency. We describing a new technique called “internal splinting” that enables strong repair maintains the tissue at site injury. applied both mid-substance distal ruptures, we combined best features open techniques, including use larger diameter suture typically reserved for repair. preserved tissue, paratenon, skin as methods. evaluated first 24 patients found is safe results satisfactory.
