ABSTRACT
Targeted radionuclide therapies in nuclear medicine departments increasingly depend on using unsealed beta radiation sources the labeling of peptides and antibodies. Monitoring doses received by fingers hands during these procedures is best accomplished with TLD dosimeters that can be located at fingertips. The present study examines response two (MCP-Ns GR200A) to 90Sr/90Y, 85Kr, 147Pm. were supplied different services, all irradiations performed PTB Institute Germany. Each dosimetry service evaluated without knowledge they had been purposefully irradiated. accuracy precision as a function delivered dose, energy particles angular incidence. results are compared performance measures recommended IEC. Both dosimeter types displayed significant dependence. Angular dependence was moderate. Accuracy dose (linearity) differed between systems, MCP-Ns being noticeably better than GR200A. superior makes much more useful for extremity measurements. differences systems reinforce need evaluate carefully before it daily work routine.
