ABSTRACT
To analyze longitudinal changes in the retinal nerve fiber layer (RNFL) thickness branch vein occlusion (BRVO) using optical coherence tomography. The authors prospectively analyzed 20 eyes patients diagnosed with and followed for more than 1 year. The RNFL of normal occluded was measured at time diagnosis 1, 3, 6, 12 months. compared eye over follow-up differences between two each time. They also area opposite area. The BRVO significantly reduced months (P = 0.005 month P 0.001 months) initial thickness. 3 did not differ 2 eyes, whereas 6 months, significant 0.032, 0.002, respectively.) thinning observed eye. Analysis that revealed no > 0.05) change during difference eyes. There a decrease Retinal needs to be differentiated from glaucoma or systemic disease, but it should considered natural course after BRVO.
