ABSTRACT
Aspirin resistance could be defined as thrombotic and embolic cardiovascular events despite regular aspirin therapy. The study aimed to determine the profile prevalence of in coronary artery disease patients. We evaluated a cohort 505 patients with diagnosis taking 80–300 mg daily. Platelet functions were analyzed by Function Analyzer (PFA)-100 collagen epinephrine cartridges ADP cartridges. A closure time 186 s or less cartridge was resistance. Of patients, 118 (23.4%) resistant PFA-100. Aspirin-resistant more likely older than aspirin-sensitive (P = 0.024). No statistically significant differences between aspirin-resistant individuals present gender, major risk factors disease, number localization involved vessels, serum lipid levels, blood counts. According high heart many people are affected resistance, which may play role adverse events. Monitoring platelet function support optimization antiplatelet therapy additional and/or alternative agents.
