ABSTRACT
Correlates of main reasons for not HIV testing, testing intentions, and potential use an over-the-counter rapid test (OTCRT) among men who have sex with never tested (NTMSM) are unknown.We evaluated these correlates 946 NTMSM from 6 US cities participated in internet-based survey 2007.Main were low perceived risk (32.2%), structural barriers (25.1%), fear positive (18.1%). Low was associated having fewer unprotected anal intercourse (UAI) partners less frequent the internet information; younger age more UAI partners; black Hispanic race/ethnicity, partners, information. Strong intentions held by 25.9% all 14.8% those did because risk. Among somewhat unlikely, likely, very likely to HIV, 47.4%, 76.5%, 85.6% would OTCRT if it available, respectively.Among internet, vary considerably age, UAI, To facilitate NTMSM, programs should expand interventions services tailored address this variation. If approved, might be used many otherwise HIV.
