ABSTRACT
To investigate the association between vitamin D deficiency and depressive symptoms in a national community sample of older people. Vitamin is common people with potential effects on mood.Data were analyzed from 2070 participants aged ≥65 years who had participated 2005 Health Survey for England. Serum 25-hydroxy (25(OH)D) levels (Geriatric Depression Scale) been measured. Covariates included age, sex, social class, season examination, physical health status.Depressive associated clinical (25(OH)D <10 ng/mL; present 9.8%) independent other covariates but not broader states. This was modified by examination.Vitamin late-life depression northern latitudes.
