ABSTRACT
Oncocytoma is a benign tumor composed histologically of epithelial cells with abundant acidophilic, large granular cytoplasm packed accumulating mitochondria, and can be arranged in alveolar, tubular, or solid patterns. commonly found the kidneys, salivary glands, endocrine organs. arising retroperitoneal heterotopic adrenal tissue very rare. We report case oncocytoma that showed significantly high uptake F-18 fluorodeoxyglucose (F-18 FDG) on positron emission tomography (PET) study. The lesion was located retroperitoneum strongly suspected from tissue. High FDG usually indicates existing malignant potential. should considered differential diagnosis cases mass.
