ABSTRACT
Temporal hollowing is a depression within the soft tissues overlying temporal fossa, sometimes seen after surgical dissection for access to facial skeleton. Surgeons have successfully used bone grafts, hydroxyapatite, methyl methacrylate, and autogenous tissue correct deformity. A systematic review of literature demonstrated that most popular technique correction seems be use nonbiologic materials. These materials been but are associated with some complications. There has growing experience augmentation fossa using dermal fat grafts at our institutions, this article describes experience.Two senior surgeons' recent was reviewed analyzed.The retrospective revealed 5 cases treated graft placement. Follow-up 1 year aesthetically pleasing results.A thorough understanding anatomy conscious effort respect structural integrity during essential in avoiding hollowing. Sometimes, however, deformity impossible avoid. In these patients, there number options correction. Open placement classic offer good long-term aesthetic results.
