Laparoscopic Nissen fundoplication is gold standard treatment for gastroesophageal reflux disease. We examined the results of laparoscopic with or without double-sided polypropylene mesh.Sixty patients were prospectively evaluated. Primer cruroraphy and primer mesh performed in 31 29 patients, respectively. The Gastrointestinal Quality Life Index (GIQLI) was used assessment patient satisfaction preoperatively postoperatively at 12 months.Sixty included study, a mean age 42 years. There no difference between 2 groups respect to age, sex, duration symptoms. GIQLI showed an equal improvement, there differences quality life both groups. All patients' endoscopic findings normal first year.Laparoscopic appears prevent its symptoms create better life. Double-sided repair may result
