A new coagulase-negative species of the genus Staphylococcus, Staphylococcus muscae, is described on basis results a study four strains that were isolated from flies. 16S rRNA sequences type S. schleiferi, and sciuri determined used, together with corresponding aureus epidermidis, for comparative analysis.
