ABSTRACT
Strain BUT-8 T , a Gram-stain-negative, non-motile and rod-shaped aerobic bacterium, was isolated from the activated sludge of herbicide-manufacturing wastewater treatment facility. Comparative 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis revealed that strain clustered with species genus Lysobacter closely related to ruishenii DSM 22393 (98.3 %) daejeonensis KACC 11406 (98.7 %). The DNA G+C content genomic 70.6 mol%. major respiratory quinone ubiquinone-8, polar lipids were diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylglycerol an aminolipid. cellular fatty acids iso-C 15 : 0 16 17 11 3OH summed feature 9 (comprising 1 ω9 c and/or C 10-methyl). DNA–DNA relatedness between its closest phylogenetic neighbours below 70 %. Phylogenetic, chemotaxonomic phenotypic results clearly demonstrated belongs represents novel for which name caeni sp. nov. is proposed. type ( = CCTCC AB 2013087 17141 ).
