ABSTRACT
Thirteen bacterial isolates from root nodules of soybean grown in saline-alkaline soils the Chinese province Hebei were identified as a unique group genus Ensifer based upon BOX-PCR patterns, sequencing analyses 16S rRNA and housekeeping genes DNA–DNA hybridization. Phenotypically, positive tests for acid production negative results reduction litmus milk sensitivity to 50 µg ampicillin ml −1 , well some other features, could differentiate novel defined species – Sinorhizobium group. The had symbiotic gene sequences ( nodC nifH ) that identical or very similar those fredii formed effective with Glycine max (soybean), Vigna unguiculata soja . Based consensus these analyses, species, sojae sp. nov., is proposed, CCBAU 05684 T = LMG 25493 HAMBI 3098 type strain. DNA G+C content strain was 60.9 mol% m ).
