ABSTRACT
Two strains, designated 5413J-26(T) and KIS18-15(T), were isolated from the air forest soil, respectively, in South Korea. Cells of two strains Gram-stain-negative, aerobic, polar-flagellated rod-shaped. According to phylogenetic tree, KIS18-15(T) fell into cluster Sphingomonas sensu stricto. Strain showed highest sequence similarities with trueperi LMG 2142(T) (96.6%), molluscorum KMM 3882(T) (96.5%), azotifigens NBRC 15497(T) (96.3 %) pituitosa EDIV(T) (96.1 %), while strain had similarity soli T5-04(T) (96.8%), leidyi ATCC 15260(T) (96.6 asaccharolytica 15499(T) koreensis JSS26(T) %). The 16S rRNA gene between was 95.4 %. Ubiquinone 10 predominant respiratory quinone homospermidine major polyamine. polar lipids consisted diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylethanolamine, several unidentified phospholipids lipids. main cellular fatty acids (>10% total acids) summed feature 8 (C18 : 1ω6c and/or C18 1ω7c), 3 (C16 1ω7c iso-C15 0 2-OH) C14 2-OH, those C16 0. Based on results analysis, physiological biochemical characterization, novel species suggested names aerophila sp. nov. (type = KACC 16533(T) 108942(T)) naasensis 16534(T) 108943(T)) are proposed.
