ABSTRACT
Two bacterial strains isolated from air samples, 5317S-33T and 5413S-11T, were characterized by determining their phenotypic characteristics, cellular fatty acid profiles phylogenetic positions based on 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis. analysis showed that these isolates belonged to the genus Methylobacterium. Strain was most closely related Methylobacterium adhaesivum AR27T (97.9 % similarity). 5413S-11T fujisawaense DSM 5686T (97.3 similarity), oryzae CBMB20T (97.1 similarity) radiotolerans JCM 2831T (97.0 Cells of both strictly aerobic, Gram-negative, motile rod-shaped. The major C18 : 1 ω7c. G+C contents genomic DNA 68.0 mol% for strain 73.2 5413S-11T. According DNA–DNA hybridization data, a level relatedness 33 with M. 17169T, low levels (<35 %) 5686T, 1819T. On basis this polyphasic analysis, it concluded represent two novel species within Methylobacterium, which names iners sp. nov. (type =KACC 11765T =DSM 19015T) aerolatum 11766T 19013T) are proposed.
