ABSTRACT
Dientamoebiasis is globally distributed and detected in a large number of subjects with diarrhea, abdominal discomfort, flatulence, fatigue loss appetite. The life cycle transmission Dientamoeba fragilis are poorly understood. Microscopic examination permanent stained smears traditionally employed to diagnose the infection. However, this approach time-consuming success detecting D. depends on microscopist's experience. Hence, only few laboratories routinely carry out tests for fragilis. Consequently, prevalence infection probably underestimated. Although novel, rapid more sensitive diagnostic becoming available intestinal parasites, they also possess some limitations. aim study was emphasize importance performing microscopic from at least one fresh stool specimen after sample arrival laboratory, as mandatory practice diagnosis dientamoebiasis, particulary where it not possible perform molecular assays.
