ABSTRACT
Abstract Background Covid-19 seroprevalence rates and serological tests are important tools in understanding the epidemiology of disease help fight against it. Seroprevalence vary according to population studied test employed they range from 0.133 25.7%. The purpose this study is assess rate a healthy blood donors living under strict lockdown measures Jordan which has total 144 confirmed cases per million population. Methods Left-over sera plasma samples 746 were tested using commercially available FDA approved kit having sensitivity specificity 100% 99.8% respectively. External positive controls used for validation. Results More than 80% men 18-63 year old residing capital city Jordan, Amman. All specimens negative yielding zero donor Conclusion Strict effectively limit intracommunity spread infection, however at cost lack any acquired community immunity. Additionally use highly specific recommended low prevalence setting.
