ABSTRACT
Abstract Melanoma is an aggressive form of skin cancer due to its high metastatic abilities and resistance therapies. cells reside in a heterogeneous tumour microenvironment that acts as crucial regulator progression. Snail1 epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition transcription factor expressed during development reactivated pathological situations including fibrosis cancer. In this work, we show activated the melanoma microenvironment, particularly fibroblasts. Analysis murine models allow stromal depletion therapeutic blockade indicate targeting activation decreases growth lung burden, extending mice survival. Transcriptomic analysis melanoma-associated fibroblasts tumours induces by promoting immunosuppressive pro-tumour immunity. This study unveils novel role biology supports potential target.
