ABSTRACT
Inelastic light-scattering spectra of underdoped ${\mathrm{La}}_{2\ensuremath{-}x}{\mathrm{Sr}}_{x}{\mathrm{CuO}}_{4}$ single crystals are presented which provide direct evidence the formation quasi-one-dimensional charged structures in two-dimensional ${\mathrm{CuO}}_{2}$ planes. The stripes manifest themselves a Drude-like peak at low energies and temperatures. selection rules allow us to determine orientation be along diagonals $x=0.02$ principal axes $x=0.10$. electron-lattice interaction determines correlation length turns out larger compound classes with lower superconducting transition Temperature is only scale response different doping levels demonstrating importance quantum critical behavior.
