ABSTRACT
The existence of a nonvanishing electric dipole moment for an elementary particle, atom or molecule, would indicate violation time reversal symmetry and parity-symmetry violation. latter could help resolve the question observed matter-antimatter asymmetry in Universe. This review provides broad overview theoretical motivations interpretations as well details about experimental techniques, experiments, prospects.
