ABSTRACT
A probe for wireless monitoring of the vaginal conductivity and temperature in cows has been developed, manufactured, tested in-situ approximately 48 hours. The cow was filmed during testing, events activities correlated with obtained data. This allowed systematic variations due to stress, position activity, as well circadian patterns, be identified. three electrode pairs measurements that are probed consecutively, which allow related investigated. One main applications this type sensor is automated estrus detection, high economic importance farmers. Prior work mainly relied on manual and/or implanted probes, both inconvenient commercial applications, collected data usually consisted a relatively limited number points. collects from multiple positions at user defined intervals extended periods time, thus giving much more complete picture behavior investigated quantities.
