ABSTRACT
Multiple output power converters are widely used in telecommunications equipment when several voltages needed. These smaller and cheaper than various individual converters. However, it is very difficult to obtain multioutput with high efficiency tight regulation. To overcome these difficulties, a new technique has been developed presented this article. This consists on forward/flyback topology active clamp where the forward regulated duty cycle of main switch flyback auxiliary switch. Experimental results for +5 V/20 A, -5 V/12.5 A converter show efficiencies at full load higher 87% switching frequency 175 kHz. solution introduces few additional components, but nevertheless advantages versus other regulation techniques not only also volume cost.
